During this course,
students will advance through the techniques and fundamentals of instrumental
music. This course will foster and
promote musical growth through the playing of an instrument by the student.
This class is designed to teach complex foundations of both music theory and
performance to students with basic skills on a band instrument. Students will
develop musical understanding and skills through use of proper terminology,
critique, discussion, music theory study, and learning and performing on a band
instrument. Band is a skilled effort in which each student is expected to show
technical and musical growth throughout this course.
During this course,

This course will give
students a large ensemble setting to develop both their own instrumental skill
and that of an ensemble member interested in participating in various groups (concert band, marching, band, etc). Performances will include: concerts, festivals, community events, and/or athletic events. The daily objective of the
course is to foster and promote musical growth through the playing of an
instrument by the student. Band is a skilled effort in which each student is
expected to show technical and musical growth throughout this course. Band members must participate in all after-school rehearsals and performances.
