Homework = 10%

If it’s assigned, it will be checked.  Once I have checked HW, they are given back, students are expected to go over their mistakes and correct them with a colored pen (not black) while we go over HW.

Graded based on completeness and effort.

You can either receive credit or no credit.  If a student receives no credit, he/she has the opportunity to turn it in on the following day(s) and receive a 60% instead of a 0%.

----------------------------------------------------------

Minor Grades = 30% (Quizzes, Carnegie, In-Class Assignments)

Typically have at least one quiz per week.

Quizzes are given back to students to keep in their binders after they have been graded.

When they are given back, students are expected to go over their mistakes and correct them with a colored pen (not black).

Carnegie Lab Assignments will be weekly learning assignments that will be assigned and graded by the online system.  Carnegie grades are given upon its due date.  If a student does not complete the Carnegie assignment by the due date, it will not be marked late or have points deducted.  A student will earn whatever grade he/she makes.

----------------------------------------------------------

Major Grades = 60%  (Tests, Projects, Midterm)

I try to give tests weekly, but not something I feel must be done.

We do in-class and out-of-class projects.  There will also be a district

----------------------------------------------------------

End of Course Test:
