I was born and raised in Duluth, MN and attended Duluth Denfeld High School. I attended Yale University in New Haven, CT and was a four-year letter winner and All-Ivy Honorable Mention at tight end during my senior year. I graduated with a degree in History. After graduating from college I spent two years teaching English to Korean elementary student In Seoul, South Korea. After spending time in both Charleston and Columbia, SC I moved to Tampa, FL and began my teaching and coaching career. I taught a wide variety of social studies courses and coached offensive line and was head track coach for four years at Gaither High School and then for was a head track coach for two years at Armwood High School. I live in Gonzales with my wife and two year old son Jonathan. While I'm not teaching and coaching I enjoy playing the guitar and cooking.
