My Bio

My name is Candace Keller Richard. I was born and raised in St. James Parish, and as agraduate of Lutcher High School, I decided to come right back and begin my teaching career here at my Alma Mater.  Both my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and my master's degree in Educational Leadership were earned from Southeastern Louisiana University.  I am a highly qualified English Language Arts teacher.  This is currently my 10th year of teaching here at LHS and through my tenure here, I have taught both 7th and 8th grades English and Reading classes. I thouroughly enjoy doing what I do everyday and put my heart and soul into instructing, shaping, and molding my students into young adults who will one day be able to thrive in our society. A big part of their future is in my hands and that means the world to me!! I look forward to a fun-filled, enrichment seeking, super challenging year with my 8th graders!
